How a is for avocados came to be

Here’s a fun fact: I’ve never done this before.

So why did I decide to start this blog thing on a whim?? Well, I have an active mind and have greatly enjoyed creative writing both in college and for pleasure. I often turn to journaling as a way to sort out my thoughts and well, it’s also nice to put my thoughts on the preverbal paper and send it out into the grand ol’ cyberspace. For me, that’s more enjoyable than trying to craft a well-thought-out Instagram post with the perfect picture and the most intriguing hook. Sure. I’ll post this on IG once I figure out how to link it all so it’s minimal effort BUT why not just jot down my thoughts in the hopes that my knowledge may assist someone else?

My best friend and neighbor, Michelle and I going full avocado mode during Halloween 2020.

Another Fun Fact: a is for avocados was initially born during the pandemic when the local school buses were delivering food to all the neighborhood kids.

Both my best friend and I ended up with a plethora of avocados. I’m talking bags on bags of avocados- all the guacamole recipes in the world didn’t seem to use up our little avocado stash. Which soon became an inside joke between us. Before long, we both had avocado Bitmoji caricatures and avocado onesies for Halloween costumes!

So needless to say, I fell in love with the little fruit, and as a nutrition major latched onto the name, briefly posting on IG little tidbits of nutritional goodness. That idea was short-lived as I hit the academic year full force, and with a full-time academic workload, a two-hour commute, and all the parental duties to juggle, my little idea went to the preverbal back burner.

Now, I’m revamping my idea, and attempting to develop my little brand to promote my nutritional interest as well as offer the research and science behind the foods we eat.

My initial avocado-themed Bitmoji, circa 2021, which still makes me giggle.

I still have the desire to put rich content out there for all you fine folks to find and dig through, so I’ll try my best to figure out this blogland, and maybe even have a regularly scheduled posting setup.

So, for now, bear with me as I navigate all the domain, IP, A code, and hosting business.
