Health At Every Size (HAES)
HAES is a resource that advocates for individuals of all shapes and sizes to have accessible healthcare no matter why the person is that size.
In a thin-centric focused world, being thin and experiencing weight loss does not automatically make an individual healthy, but healthful practices that ensure physical activity and a well-balanced diet are crucial for health gains.
One of the fundamental HAES core principles is to eliminate fat phobia as discrimination of weight and size has profoundly negative effects that body shaming and oppression has on people in fat bodies.
